Public Meeting: Civil Rights, Prisons, and Mental Health Services in Nebraska

The Nebraska Advisory Committee to the United States Commission on Civil Rights is hosting a public meeting to hear testimony on civil rights concerns facing individuals with mental health conditions who are incarcerated.
The event will hold three separate panels -- Legal & Advocates, Mental Health & Community, and Government -- and allow an opportunity for public testimony from 3 PM - 4 PM. The Committee will also receive written testimony through July 15, 2019. Disability Rights Nebraska's Public Policy Director, Brad Meurrens, will be speaking on the Mental Health & Community Panel between 11 AM and 12:15 PM.
