What services does Disability Rights Nebraska provide through the PATBI program?
Disability Rights Nebraska provides information and referrals, legal and non-legal advocacy, and education to individuals with traumatic brain injuries in Nebraska who experience a disability-related rights violation that is included in the focus areas established by our Board of Directors.
Some examples of our work include:
- Providing information on workplace, housing, and educational accommodations
- Self-advocacy training
- Representation for certain issues directly related to an individual’s disability
- Offering referrals to other resources
When should you contact Disability Rights Nebraska?
If you experience a disability-related rights violation you may wish to contact Disability Rights Nebraska and speak to a member of our intake staff. Your issue will then be reviewed by our team to determine eligibility for services. Intakes are conducted Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
